PALM SPRINGS, CA — The Palm Springs POWER were ranked 17 in the nation when PerfectGame.org released their most recent collegiate baseball team rankings on Monday.  With a current record of 36-4, the 2011 POWER team’s ranking is the highest from the site in franchise history.

Although the ranking is quite noteworthy, POWER owner Andrew Starke still believes there is work to be done: “While the ranking is fun to look at now, I am more interested in watching our team work hard to win this year’s SCCBL championship next week.  The ranking will mean more to me after the playoffs end.”

Palm Springs’ ranking comes after previously being ranked 23 and 18 in the past two weeks respectively, and the team has steadily continued to move up the list.  The POWER look to continue their remarkable season tonight at Palm Springs Stadium against the LA Thrashers at 7:05 PM.
