PALM SPRINGS, CA — The Palm Springs POWER (27-6, 13-4) defeated the Long Beach Legends (28-13, 9-5) 4-0 behind a stellar pitching performance from starter Matt Anderson Tuesday night at Palm Springs Stadium. It was the first victory for the POWER over the Legends in three meetings this season.

Anderson (4-1) followed up last week’s no-hitter with a complete game shutout. The POWER starter allowed just six hits over nine innings, while walking just one and striking out 13. He has now pitched 20 consecutive innings without allowing a run.

David Kiriakos led the POWER offense, reaching base three times, scoring two runs and driving in another. Anthony Torres and Chad Clark each recorded multi-hit games in the win.

Palm Springs and Long Beach will meet once again on Wednesday night at Palm Springs Stadium. All general admission tickets will be only $1. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
