Former POWER pitcher Aaron Brooks (2009-2010), led the Omaha Storm Chasers (Triple-A affiliate for the Kansas City Royals) of the Pacific Coast League to a Champion series-clinching game 5 victory over the Reno Aces on Sunday (9/14/14).

Brooks tossed a complete game shutout in game 5, earning the win and advancing the Storm Chasers to the Triple-A Championship to take on the Pawtucket Red Sox on Tuesday. In addition to being the winning pitcher of record Sunday, Brooks was named the series MVP.

Brooks pitched for the POWER during the 2009 and 2010 Championship series and continues to have success at the major league level. He even was called up for one start to pitch for the Kansas City Royals in 2014.

The POWER wish him and his family the best in his major league career, and we look forward to seeing the new crop of young stars playing for the POWER in the summer of 2015!
