A unique opportunity to participate with the POWER
Do you have room in your home for a college baseball player that is coming to Palm Springs for the summer? Host families are needed for the Palm Springs POWER team, as the roster is nearly complete for the 2007 season. We are actively trying to place our players in homes that will help us develop these athletes not only into top baseball players but quality individuals.
Those interested in becoming a host family should expect to provide a comfortable place to store the player’s belongings as well as a comfortable place for them to sleep. The players are required to live under your rules and to be a responsible member of the household. The host family program has been such a success over the past few years that many families find themselves adopted by the athletes.
The host family schedule will be from May 29th to July 29th. Most of their days during the summer are spent playing games or participating in a number of required community functions throughout the desert.
If being a host family interests you and your family, the POWER would love to hear from you. Who knows, you could be the summer family of a future major leaguer. For more information or to become a host family, contact Andrew Starke at (760) 864-6278 or by email at astarke@palmspringspowerbaseball.com.
