PALM SPRINGS, CA — The Palm Springs POWER (15-5, 8-4) dropped their second consecutive game on Sunday night at Palm Springs Stadium, falling 6-2 to the Long Beach Legends (19-9, 5-3). It is the first time the POWER have lost consecutive games this season.

Matt Anderson (2-1) tossed seven scoreless innings, but took the loss after hitting a wall in the eighth.

Long Beach sent 10 men to the plate and scored six times in the eighth inning against Anderson and reliever Edgar Gomez. Aaron Grey’s two-run double in the inning gave the Legends a lead they would not relinquish.

The POWER scored both of their runs in the second inning on back-to-back RBI singles by Todd Dunham and Adam Law. Bryan Niedbalski led the POWER with three hits in the loss.

Palm Springs is off on Monday before they take on Team San Diego Tuesday at Palm Springs Stadium. The POWER have won four of five meetings with Team San Diego this season. Tuesday is $1 beer night. First pitch is set for 7:05.
