Andrew Starke
Owner and General Manager

Andrew Starke has been the sole owner and President of the Palm Springs POWER since it's creation in the fall of 2003 and is the current President of the newly created Palm Springs CHILL. He started the company from the ground up as the first and only employee until just weeks before the POWER’S inaugural game on June 4th 2004. Since that time, he has seen the company grow at a rapid pace to current employment of over fifty full and part-time staff.
Always looking to grow the sports entertainment opportunities in the Coachella Valley, Andrew is very excited to have the opportunity to work with the Arizona Winter League and have the CHILL franchise be a member of it.
Currently, he serves as a board member for the Parks and Recreation Commission for the City of Palm Springs and accepted the 2007 Palm Springs Small Business of the Year award presented in June by the Chamber of Commerce and City of Palm Springs. Prior to owning the CHILL & POWER, Mr. Starke worked for such sports organizations as the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Orlando Magic, University of Central Florida and the Long Beach Strikers.
On the field, he was a four-year scholarship baseball player graduating from Mercer University in Macon, Ga. where he earned his degree in Business Administration. Throughout college, he not only earned All-Conference honors on the field, but also was a member of the Atlantic Sun Academic All-Conference Team.
Mr. Starke is a full time resident here in Palm Springs and looks forward to keeping baseball here at Palm Springs Stadium for many years to come.

POWER STAFF
Rocky
POWER Mascot - Click Here To See How To Schedule An Appearance
Rocky has been the POWER mascot since the 2004 inaugural season. He can be seen at every home game cheering on the Palm Springs POWER. During the off-season, Rocky can be found bounding around the Valley at different community events, Palm Springs Street Fair and schools. Rocky has been a baseball fan since he was a little sheep growing up in the hills and brings his passion of the sport with every appearance.
During his college years, he noticed that he enjoyed entertaining people. When he wasn’t playing baseball, he was at center court and the 50 yard line, as the mascot for his school. It was during this time that Rocky discovered what he was born to do, outside of eating grass and climbing mountains, be a mascot. In 2002, he graduated with honors from Ram School of Horns and Butting in the local Desert Hills. After a year of roaming around the desert of trying to find a team that he could root for, he found the POWER. The POWER and Rocky were perfect for each other, because both wanted to provide the Coachella Valley residents with quality baseball and affordable family entertainment.
