PALM SPRINGS, CA — The Palm Springs POWER (15-3) scored five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to erase a three-run deficit as they defeated the San Francisco Seals (5-11) 12-10 Friday night at Palm Springs Stadium.

Adam Law doubled home Anthony Torres and Luke Esquerra in the eighth inning to tie the game at 10, followed by a throwing error by Seals’ catcher Kenny Chavez that scored Law and David Kiriakos.

A 15-minute delay ensued, during which Seals’ manager Abel Alcantar was ejected arguing with home plate umpire Brad Hungerford. POWER hitting coach Dan DiPace and Seals’ second baseman Eli Alcantar were also ejected during the game.

Kiriakos scored three times and drove in two runs for the POWER in the victory. Esquerra and Todd Dunham each added two hits and an RBI.

Edgar Gomez (3-0) picked up the victory in relief, allowing two runs over two innings.

The POWER and Seals will play again Saturday night at Palm Springs Stadium. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. with first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
