The POWER offense was living Déjà vu, or close to it. In another 3-1 loss to the So Cal Fire. Starter Nolan Nicholson gave up three early runs in the first inning but was able to settle down after that. The only run that was scored by the POWER happened in the top of the 7th inning. On a 1-2 pitch Brian Ramirez advanced to first on a dropped third strike and made it all the way around to third on a throwing error by the catcher as he air mailed it in to right field. The next batter Mike O’Neill hit a slow ground ball to the first baseman. This allowed Ramirez to score the POWER’s only run. The POWER earned a trip to the NBC Regional Tournament finals by defeating the South Bay Saints 4-3 in 11 innings.  Starting POWER pitcher Sean Urena returned to collegiate home, Goodwin Field at Cal State Fullerton, and was marvelous.  Urena allowed only one run over six innings with four K’s, but did not get a decision.  P.
