PALM SPRINGS, CA — The Palm Springs POWER (12-1, 6-1) pounded out 12 hits en route to a 9-2 victory over the High Desert Heat (0-6, 0-6) Sunday night at Palm Springs Stadium.

Luke Esquerra hit his first home run of the season in the sixth inning to give the POWER a three-run lead. Dylan Becker, Matt Paradise, Anthony Torres and Todd Dunham each had multi-hit games for the POWER.

Scott Simmons (2-1) picked up the victory, allowing one run over six strong innings.

The POWER are off Monday before opening a two-game series with the LA Thrashers on Tuesday at Palm Springs Stadium. Gates open at 6:00 with first pitch at 7:05.
